Western Regional Sales Director

Summary:

The Regional Sales Director is responsible for driving revenue growth in Tentoe's online product merchandising solutions by building and leveraging relationships with executive level marketing and merchandising prospects at both consumer product manufacturers and their retail channel partners.

Supported by an inside account support team, you will search out prospect opportunities, present our compelling online merchandising value proposition, and quickly add to our list of top-tier manufacturer clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan, build a sufficient pipeline to exceed assigned booking quota
  • Secure strategic level relationships with executives at assigned customers and prospects
  • Communicate with sales management on forecasts, account activities and territory strategies - make effective use of SFA tool.
  • Understand customer needs and effectively demonstrate how Tentoe's online merchandising solution will meet those needs
  • Understand the needs of the consumer product and retail community and provide market feedback on trends and product direction
  • Drive customer satisfaction

You must have a proven record of success in:

  • Penetrating key prospects and getting to the decision makers.
  • Developing partnerships with 1st tier retailers and consumer product manufacturers.
  • Leading the sales efforts in merchandising, marketing, advertising, or e-commerce related services.
  • Developing sales targets and goals, meeting and exceeding performance expectations
  • Planning strategic growth opportunities and identifying non-traditional sales channels

Qualifications

  • At least an 8 year track record of successful quota attainment in selling an internet related service or product
  • Good understanding of retail merchandising, and e-commerce and internet technologies.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Open to extensive travel, mostly regional
  • Self-starter with the ability & energy to thrive in a, high-growth, fast-paced environment
  • Organized, results-oriented, meticulous, and customer-focused

Account Development Representative

Responsible for pre-sales prospecting, developing and qualifying prospective customers for the Tentoe Merchandiser hosted solution. Includes scheduling meetings and phone appointments for the Tentoe sales team. New market penetration, calling on senior-level executives, and event follow-up, are all part of the daily activities. This self-starter will have great time management and territory prospecting skills. As a part of the sales team, the ADR will work closely with the territory sales reps, sales management and marketing.

Accountabilities and Specific Duties:

  • Secure new meetings for the sales organization
  • Conduct marketing campaign and event follow-up
  • Manage a prospecting pipeline and maintain accurate information about suspects and prospects.
  • Disciplined use of SalesForce.com for prospect tracking
  • Accurate lead forecasting
  • Communicate relevant feedback from customers to marketing and development

Qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent
  • 2 to 4 years lead development experience in a competitive high tech environment
  • proven track record and methodology of achieving/exceeding measurable goals.
  • Excellent phone skills
  • Technically adept, self-motivated and driven by results
  • eCommerce or hosted solution experience a plus

Online Merchandising Manager

The role of the Online Merchandising Manager is to insure that assigned client engagements are properly defined and crisply executed. The role is a pre and post sales resource to the sales team, helping to properly define and scope the implementation of Tentoe's client projects. This includes managing and executing client-facing project management and implementation, managing all aspects of program roll-out, including creative design elements for production.

Accountabilities and Specific Duties:

  • At the request of sales, meet directly with final-stage client prospects as the subject-matter-expert to develop proposed total package of Tentoe solutions, including production, professional services, and deployment programs.
  • Manage post-sale VSR production and deployment projects, including the collection of all client digital assets, and definition and prioritization of projects to the Tentoe production team.
  • Manage post-launch client training of the Tentoe Merchandiser application.
  • Own responsibility for all client requests to ensure quality of deliverables and customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver exceptional technical customer support on all aspect of Channel Merchandiser.

Production:

  • Deliver all client-based digital materials to the Tentoe Merchandiser application.
  • Prioritize projects with the Tentoe production team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in creative design, marketing, computer science or equivalent in knowledge and experience.
  • Minimum 4 years in experience in closely related work.
  • An experienced manager of projects, and clients.
  • Online marketing campaign design, scoping and execution.
  • Experience developing multi-tiered Web applications with a strong working knowledge of Flash, Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, JavaScript, and XML.
  • Network administration experience.
  • Working knowledge of database management systems (SQL, XML).

Other skills and abilities required

  • Self-starter with strong client project management skills.
  • Good problem solving, organizational, interpersonal and team skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to details.
  • Understanding of the creative process from client discovery, concept presentation, change request, budget controls, schedule, managing creative talent, and creative production.
