Tentoe, the leading technology provider for online merchandising solutions, announced the latest release of its hosted application, Tentoe MerchandiserTM. The Tentoe solution allows manufacturers to build, deploy, and track the results of highly interactive rich media sales presentations that can be deployed at any number of online retailers, providing full control by the manufacturer where it counts most, at the online point of sale. This level of engagement and control on the product page enables leading manufacturers to guide shoppers to a purchase decision, significantly raising the value they receive from their other sales and marketing investments. In 2006 alone, retail online shoppers viewed over 3.6 million Tentoe Virtual Sales Rep (VSR) presentations, spending on average more than 2 minutes on engaging product content from the manufacturer.
The latest version 5.8 of Tentoe MerchandiserTM includes three new technology components. The first, Tentoe Executive Dashboard, enables manufacturers to measure merchandising program performance and identify important consumer and product trends long before traditional sales information is available. Tentoe Executive Dashboard delivers immediate intelligence on consumer product interest in real time and which retailers are driving this interest to help manufacturers run their business by the numbers.

SmartButton constantly matches the products listed at an online retailer's site with available VSRs for a given manufacturer. If a gap is discovered, SmartButton automatically populates the online retailer's product page with the appropriate VSR. The process is completely seamless to the manufacturer and the online retailer and requires no IT involvement.
